You like Ashes to Ashes? I could never get into it. I found all the characters irritating and obnoxious… and not in the same way as say Jan Valentine or Voayger’s Doctor.
I’m sure more people out there still play PSOne games, but we’re an odd breed, preferring games with inferior, pixelated and blocky polygonal graphics but heaps of gameplay to the hyper realistic, gore drenched, mash fests of modern gaming *sigh*
Ashes to Ashes is pretty much the only 80s revival item that I like, mainly because I liked Gene Hunt’s characters from Life on Mars, and as a sequel to the vastly superior parent show, I thought that I owed it a chance. But I do actually like it, above all for the pastiches and the humour, Alex Drake is pretty inspipid so I don’t necessarily enjoy that character’s input, but I think that the supporting cast are endearing enough. It’s enjoyable television but definitely a no brainer.
